About CLAN

CLAN Cancer Support is a local charity providing emotional and practical support to people affected by cancer, their family, carers and friends.

CLAN's aim is to help people live with and beyond the diagnosis and improve the quality of life for all those who turn to them for help. CLAN's services are offered freely from 11 support and well-being centres located across north-east Scotland, Moray, Orkney and Shetland.

Support Service

It costs over £2.5 million every year to ensure the CLAN free support services are widely available.

Each CLAN Centre offers a range of services including information and support, complimentary therapies, social and well being activities, as well as access to our counselling and children and families support service. All are available free of charge to people affected by cancer and no appointment or referral is required to visit any of our centres.

For those travelling to Aberdeen hospitals for appointments or treatment, CLAN also offer affordable B&B accommodation in CLAN Haven with transport assistance to and from hospital.

The sale of donated goods in the CLAN charity shops is a vital source of revenue. Each shop has a wide range of clothing, accessories, household items and books, and regularly organise fashion shows, auctions and special sales. CLAN rely on the generous support of individuals, families and companies to ensure they can continue to support thousands of people in the community on a daily basis.
